New York Times: Israel Used Its Second-Largest Bomb Twice in Jabalia<\/h3>\n

The US newspaper The New York Times published an analysis<\/a> of satellite images, photos and videos to determine the types of weapons the occupation army used to carry out the Jabalia massacre. The results revealed that the occupation army used two bombs weighing 970 kilograms each to target tunnels of the Palestinian resistance factions, which are used as a main centre for launching attacks on occupation soldiers, as well as weapons depots.<\/p>\n

The air strikes carried out by the occupation army have so far destroyed or damaged at least a quarter of the buildings in the northern part of the Palestinian territory, according to a new analysis of satellite data.<\/p>\n

Satellite images obtained on 31 October showed several craters 40 feet in diameter resulting from the air strikes in Jabalia. The use of this type of bomb in a populated area such as Jabalia raised concerns about proportionality: whether Israel’s intended targets were worth the human losses and destruction caused by its strikes.<\/p>\n

83 countries, including the United States but not Israel, have signed a commitment to refrain from using explosive weapons in populated areas because of the potential to harm civilians.<\/p>\n

Since the outbreak of “Al-Aqsa Flood” on 7 October, Israel has waged a brutal aggression on the Gaza Strip that is still continuing, which has raised the death toll to 9,425, two thirds of them children and women, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health.<\/p>\n

Biden Announces Progress on a Humanitarian Pause in Gaza<\/h3>\n

US President Joe Biden announced yesterday, Saturday, that progress has been made towards securing a humanitarian pause in the war being waged by the Israeli occupation forces on the Palestinians in Gaza under the pretext of fighting Hamas, at a time when his Secretary of State is pursuing the same efforts in the Middle East.<\/p>\n

Earlier on Saturday, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told reporters in Amman that a humanitarian pause would help protect civilians and deliver more aid to the besieged Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Blinken urged the occupation state to adopt a humanitarian pause in the Gaza Strip, which has been subjected for weeks to violent air strikes that have killed thousands of Palestinians.<\/p>\n

According to the US website Axios, the Biden administration supports the Israeli occupation state’s goal of dismantling the capabilities of the Palestinian resistance movement “Hamas”, but it is under growing pressure from some Democrats in Congress and from its allies and partners in the region for a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Axios explained that Blinken told his Israeli counterparts that the Biden administration is facing a lot of criticism at home and abroad because it gives Israel its full support.<\/p>\n

Obama: Everyone Is Complicit in What Is Happening in the Gaza Strip<\/h3>\n

Former US President Barack Obama said<\/a> that “everyone is complicit to some degree in what is happening in the Gaza Strip” and that “the occupation and what is happening to the Palestinians is unbearable”.<\/p>\n

Considering that “Hamas’s actions on 7 October were horrific”, he continued: “Some cannot tell the truth… we are all complicit. If there is any chance of us being able to act constructively, it will require acknowledging the complexity of the issue and ideas that may seem contradictory on the surface.”<\/p>\n

In his remarks on Friday, delivered at a gathering of his former staff in Chicago, Obama acknowledged “the strong emotions the war has stirred up” and blamed social media for “amplifying divisions and reducing a thorny international conflict to slogans”.<\/p>\n

Egypt Refuses to Evacuate Foreign Nationals after the Occupation Refused to Transfer Wounded from Gaza Hospitals<\/h3>\n

Al-Qahera News<\/a> channel said that Egypt refused to evacuate foreign nationals after the Israeli occupation state refused to allow more wounded people from Gaza hospitals to enter, today, Sunday.<\/p>\n

Official Egyptian sources indicated, in statements to Reuters, that evacuations from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah crossing have been suspended since Saturday.<\/p>\n

For its part, Agence France-Presse (AFP) quoted an official source at the Crossings Authority as saying that Hamas had suspended the evacuation of foreigners and dual nationals from the Gaza Strip to Egypt via the Rafah crossing because Tel Aviv refused to transfer Palestinian wounded to Egyptian hospitals.<\/p>\n

It said that “none of the holders of foreign passports will travel from the Gaza Strip until after the coordination and exit of the wounded from the hospitals of Gaza and the north towards the Rafah crossing”.<\/p>\n

The agency also quoted an Egyptian security source as confirming that no injured person or foreign passport holder had arrived at the Rafah crossing yesterday, Saturday, and that movement stopped after the ambulances transporting the injured to the crossing were bombed.<\/p>\n

It noted that Tel Aviv had refused to allow a number of wounded people whose names appeared on the list sent to the Egyptian authorities to leave for Egypt.<\/p>\n

Israeli Heritage Minister: Dropping a Nuclear Bomb on Gaza Is an Option<\/h3>\n

The occupation government’s Heritage Minister, Amichai Eliyahu, said<\/a> that dropping a nuclear bomb on Gaza is a possible solution, and when asked about the fate of those held by Hamas, he said: “Their blood is not more important than the blood of Israeli soldiers.”<\/p>\n
