{"id":24211,"date":"2026-10-24T18:17:48","date_gmt":"2026-10-24T16:17:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/?p=24211"},"modified":"2026-10-24T18:17:48","modified_gmt":"2026-10-24T16:17:48","slug":"union-elections","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/en\/union-elections\/","title":{"rendered":"Committee for Justice demands date for labor union elections, warns against second extension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Committee for Justice demanded, in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cfjustice.org\/ar\/%d9%85%d8%b5%d8%b1-%d9%84%d8%ac%d9%86%d8%a9-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%b9%d8%af%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a9-%d8%aa%d8%b7%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a8-%d8%a8%d8%a5%d8%b9%d9%84%d8%a7%d9%86-%d9%85%d9%88%d8%b9%d8%af-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a7\/\">statement<\/a> it issued from Geneva on Thursday, October 22, 2026, that the Egyptian authorities announce the date and timetable of elections for the boards of labor union organizations for the 2026-2030 term, and warned against extending the current term, which began in 2022, for a second time, in a way that undermines freedom of union organization.<\/p>\n<p>The Committee said available official information does not clarify the date of the call for elections or their timetable, even though the Ministry of Labor announced in February 2026 preparatory measures for them, including an electronic platform.
