{"id":26052,"date":"2026-11-04T19:30:19","date_gmt":"2026-11-04T17:30:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/?p=26052"},"modified":"2026-11-04T19:30:19","modified_gmt":"2026-11-04T17:30:19","slug":"hassan-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/en\/hassan-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"Media council bans Hossam Hassan from appearing and summons websites over privacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, headed by Khaled Abdelaziz, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youm7.com\/story\/2026\/11\/4\/x\/7605731\">decided<\/a> on Wednesday 4 November 2026 to ban Hossam Hassan, technical director of Egypt&#8217;s senior national football team, from appearing on all media outlets subject to Law No. 180 of 2018, effective from the date of the decision and without a set duration. The council confirmed that the ban on Dan Adam&#8217;s appearances remains in place, and summoned the legal representatives of several websites for hearings over violating the rules on covering citizens&#8217; private lives.<\/p>\n<p>The council said media outlets should not be &#8220;an arena for settling personal disputes&#8221;, that ruling on such disputes falls to investigative and judicial authorities, and noted the national team&#8217;s technical staff needs a suitable environment to prepare for upcoming tournaments. It warned of strict legal measures if such news keeps circulating. In an earlier decision, the council had obliged media outlets not to circulate citizens&#8217; crises, family disputes and personal secrets.<\/p>\n<p>The decision came after lawyers Ahmed Mortada Mansour and Amir Mortada Mansour, on behalf of Hossam Hassan, filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aljazeera.net\/sport\/2026\/11\/4\/%D9%85%D8%AF%D8%B1%D8%A8-%D9%85%D9%86%D8%AA%D8%AE%D8%A8-%D9%85%D8%B5%D8%B1-%D8%AD%D8%B3%D8%A7%D9%85-%D8%AD%D8%B3%D9%86\">complaint<\/a> with the Attorney General on Monday 2 November 2026 accusing his ex-wife Dina Mostafa, known as Dan Adam, of forging an informal document and being married to two husbands at once.
