{"id":26280,"date":"2026-11-06T10:51:31","date_gmt":"2026-11-06T08:51:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/?p=26280"},"modified":"2026-11-06T10:51:31","modified_gmt":"2026-11-06T08:51:31","slug":"hamed-ban","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/zawia3.com\/en\/hamed-ban\/","title":{"rendered":"Media council bans Mohamed Hamed Ali from appearing for two months after attacking journalists"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Supreme Council for Media Regulation, chaired by Khaled Abdel Aziz, decided on Thursday 5 November 2026 to <a href=\"https:\/\/scm.gov.eg\/%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a3%d8%b9%d9%84%d9%89-%d9%84%d9%84%d8%a5%d8%b9%d9%84%d8%a7%d9%85-%d9%8a%d9%82%d8%b1%d8%b1-%d9%85%d9%86%d8%b9-%d8%b8%d9%87%d9%88%d8%b1-%d8%a7%d9%84%d8%a3%d8%b3%d8%aa%d8%a7%d8%b0\/\">ban<\/a> Mohamed Hamed Ali from appearing in all media for two months, over what the council described as insulting journalists and media figures and making unsupported accusations without evidence, during the episode of the programme Ahmar wa Abyad (Red and White) broadcast by Modern MTI channel on Tuesday 3 November.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was based on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.egnews24.com\/688878\">recommendations<\/a> of the council&#8217;s complaints committees chaired by Essam El-Amir and the sports media committee chaired by Abdel Salam El-Naggar, and on the monitoring report on the episode. The council did not publish the wording of the statements it considered insulting.<\/p>\n<p>The decision comes one day after a similar decision by the council, on Wednesday 4 November, banning national team head coach Hossam Hassan from appearing.
