Doubling the capacity of the basic fixed internet package from 50 gigabytes to 100 gigabytes per month took effect on Sunday, November 1, 2026, with its monthly subscription remaining at 150 pounds (about $2.67) before value-added tax, in implementation of the instructions of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority to internet companies. The package price including tax is 171 pounds (about $3.05), according to the authority’s executive instructions.

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly had announced doubling the package’s capacity as part of the recommendations of “Egypt Forum 2026,” which was held in the New Administrative Capital from October 19 to 24, then the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority directed the implementation of the decision without any increase in the subscription price.
