Human rights lawyer Khaled Ali announced on Monday, November 2, 2026, that investigating authorities had decided to release 28 young men held in pretrial detention pending cases, and published their names on his Facebook page.

Among those released, according to the list he published, are Ehab Sami, Mostafa Ibrahim, Abdel Nasser Saber, Mohamed Osama El-Sayed, Emad El-Dakrouri, Yassin Gaber, Mofreh Mohamed Hamed, Shehata Shedid, Mohamed Mosaad, Yahia Mohamed Ahmed, Mahmoud Mohamed Taha and Adel Mohamed Ali.
